SPRAWL
R2M has begun a new duo collaboration with Jennifer Paterson of All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre . The project is about creating a series of duets made by Scottish based, female choreographers. 2 new productions are in the works including "Heroes" by Natasha Gilmore of Barrowland Ballet and "Sprawl", a fast-paced, highly charged duet for indoor and outdoor spaces made in collaboration with Aberdeen based choreographer, Jillian Thomson, and designer, Becky Minto. "Sprawl" debuted at the Merchant City Festival 2013 in Glasgow and is now appearing on selected dates. Please visit the On Tour section for more info .
SQUISH (SQUARED)
Room 2 Manoeuvre's current production SQUISH is to be further developed into a duet with dancer Tom Pritchard. Squish (Squared) will form part of the cultural programme of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and will be appearing in squash courts around Scotland. More info to follow but for now it's game on...
WITHOUT A HITCH
This work will see R2M Artistic Director, Tony Mills, collaborate with some of the UK's best bboys to create a Hitchcockian vibe on the story of the rise and fall of a bboy crew as jealousy, ambition, apathy and anger manifest within the constantly shifting dynamic of a group struggling to move in the same direction. Development began in December 2011 and will continue during 2014/15.
