SQUISH

Success, on some level, is important to all of us...but at what cost? Taking place in the confines of a squash court with lines marked out on the floor and delivered with the same tenacity, this new dance theatre solo explores what drives us towards our goals what we lose during this journey. Room 2 Manoeuvre’s, Tony Mills, “…dances with a gorgeous, athletic alacrity and dices brilliantly with precision footwork..." (**** The Herald) as he wrestles with choice, reasoning and consequence. Faced with new challenges as the story unfolds, will he realise what is important before it's too late.

Dark, funny and touching, this work treads the line between tragedy and comedy, just as its hero struggles to stay inside the lines he’s set out for himself. Squish is a cross-disciplinary work of dance theatre from one of Scotland’s rising star choreographers, which makes use of his extraordinary skill set with uncanny, innovative movement, and powerful theatrical expression.
